In commemoration of the first anniversary of the establishment of DMO, we held an event called “DMO SHIBA, Tokyo Bay Collection ~The Unique Place in Tokyo 2022~” for two days on December 14 (Wed.) and 15 (Thurs.), 2022.
We would like to express our gratitude once again to everyone who participated in the event.
In September 2021, DMO SHIBA, Tokyo Bay was established as an organization to support business events (MICE) with various members involved in the Hamamatsucho, Takeshiba, and Shibaura areas. The participants experienced how DMO SHIBA, Tokyo Bay had been working to attract MICE while promoting collaborations between cities and sites by utilizing the strengths and resources of the regions.
DMO SHIBA, Tokyo Bay will continue to work vigorously to attract MICE, so we look forward to your continued support.

　With the concept of being stylish & relaxed, we proposed a new meeting style by using light and 　images to create a relaxing environment for the participants, eliminating the conventional meeting style in which they had to sit at long desks and chairs.

We held talk sessions to consider attracting MICE from overseas to Japan through the formation of a multilayered network of discovering the attraction of the DMO SHIBA, Tokyo Bay area, collaborating within Tokyo with neighboring DMO organizations, and wide-area collaboration among domestic sites.

A graphic recording by Rakugaki-jin Kaerun is projected live on the screen, visualizing meetings, talks, and lectures, to make the overall flow of discussions easy to grasp.

・Sustainable food tasting
We provided food and drinks under the concept of “sustainable food.” The participants had meals that are friendly to the environment, such as a dish using seasonal vegetables that have become out of standard for sale due to their unevenness. Desserts with honey collected at TOKYO PORTCITY TAKESHIBA were served too.

・DMO members’ panel exhibition and introduction of next-generation technologies
In addition to an introductory panel exhibition of DMO members, we introduced a collaboration between PORT HALL and a platform “eventos” of bravesoft inc., which completes the overall management of an event, the transparent partition “Mado-words®” of Toppan Inc., which displays spoken words in real-time, and the robot guiding.

② Experiential sessions of DMO SHIBA, Tokyo Bay area contents
In the afternoon, six[林1]  programs to experience distinctive places in the Shiba and Tokyo Bay areas were held.

・Shinto prayer writing at Shiba-daijingu
The participants learned salutation practices from the priest and wrote down Shinto prayers at the Shiba-daijingu shrine, which enshrines the deity of Ise-Jingu.

・E-sports at RED°TOKYO TOWER
Set in TOKYO TOWER, it is the largest e-sport park in Japan. The participants experienced e-sports while communicating and competing in scores with each other.

・Dialogue Diversity Museum Taiwa no mori
Generation. Handicap. Culture. Religion. Ethnic groups. Many things divide the world.
This museum connects the world through encounters and dialogue, providing the experience of diversity. This time, the participants experienced team-building content in the dark.

・Nature tour in the urban resort
Through this tour, the participants learn about the ecosystem while visiting some spots in the city center, such as Kyu-Shiba-rikyu Gardens, Skip Terrace at TOKYO PORTCITY TAKESHIBA, and the tidal flat at WATERS takeshiba. Mr. Tadasi Iwamoto, the representative of Mizube Research Institute ltd. explained each point in detail as a general coordinator.

・Tokyo Bay cruising in the urban resort
The participants enjoyed the scenery of Tokyo Port cruising between the two docks of the Shiba area (Takeshiba and Hi-NODE) and the one near Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake.

③ Closing Reception
The venue concept was urban luxury: a special place where you can enjoy the resort while in the city center. The participants enjoyed the reception in the waterfront area that combines the charm of nature and the city. Sake from Tokyo Port Brewery in the area, which is the only sake brewery in 23 wards of Tokyo, as well as shochu and cocktails from the Izu Islands to which Takeshiba is the gateway, were served.
On that day, “Tokyo Supercar Day 2022” sponsored by Japan SuperCar Association was also held on the lawn plaza in front of the venue.

④ Experiential sessions of DMO morning contents (December 15)
On the second day, participants joined special programs held early in the morning at Zojoji and TOKYO TOWER, the areal landmarks.

・Work experience at Zojoji
Zojoji Temple has a history of 600 years and enshrines a secret Buddha related to the shogun, Ieyasu Tokugawa. After observing the morning work in the main hall surrounded by silence, the participants toured the facilities in the temple.

・Morning tea ceremony at TOKYO TOWER
While overlooking the city from the observation deck of TOKYO TOWER, the participants enjoyed “Asacha-no-Yu and Japanese Sweets Making exhibition” during the quiet time before business hours in the morning.
